Richmond, TX – Branding & Signs for New Ownership | Front Row Signs News

BY: , Your Business

Wendy Wheatley dreamed of opening her own bar. When the opportunity arrived to purchase a previously owned location in Richmond, she was excited to make it her own. New branding, new signs, new atmosphere-she needed to re-invent this location and we were ready to help. Read along to see how we helped Wendy’s dream come true.

First, our client needed branding help. She discussed details and colors she liked for a logo and our graphic designer created a couple of designs based on her ideas. After a couple of revisions, and color options, she decided on an choice that showcased her style. We gave her the designs with multiple options and formats to use for marketing, t-shirts and of course, signs! Here are a couple of matters to consider when you are working on a logo.

  • Try to keep your logo under 3 different colors or have a single color option. Many times, any type of screen or media printing will charge by the color and can get pricey with multiple colors.
  • Choose a font that easily transforms for each type of format. Script fonts may look fine on a business card but may not be the best choice for a brochure or menu.
  • Designers need a place to start. Bring your ideas of what you like and don’t like. Take time to research these and share images with your graphic designer.

Once our client decided on the logo, it was time to choose the signs needed. Since it would be a complete makeover of the location, we offered the client multiple options so she could choose what was most important. We moved forward with a front lit channel letter option and multi tenant sign. Since the channel letter sign had the shield element in the logo, we opted for a digital print for that portion. This way we could show the detail of the design. The other letter faces were 3/16″ thick white acrylic 7328 with 3M Sultan blue 3630 translucent film. We set the letters and logo element on wireways to install on the brick store front as required by the landlord.

The other choice was the multi tenant monument sign. We assessed the current vinyl on the sign face to see if we could reuse the plastic to help the client save some money. We determined we could remove the original vinyl and apply the new vinyl for a cost effective solution to replacing them altogether. We used 3M 40C clear with 3M 8508 laminate and digitally printed the text name of the business for the double sided signs.

Sometimes when a new owner is purchasing an existing business, they may want to change everything to their own style and brand. This can be a huge and costly undertaking. We understand the complexities of this while problem solving to offer the best materials at the clients budget. It takes patience and great listening skills to help bring a from scratch idea to life and we are happy to help! If you have a logo need, re-branding or tweaking an existing brand, our on staff graphic designer has the skills to work with you.
