Richmond, TX – Tips on Choosing and Care for Church Signs | Sign Company News

BY: Patti & Jim Snyder, Front Row Signs

Not sure what kind of signs you need? At Front Row Signs, we always take the time to ask pertinent questions to help achieve your goals. Here are some examples of questions that we ask to better serve you:

  • What is the purpose? Helps us better understand why you want the sign
  • What is the message? What is the most important messages you’d like to convey?
  • How many do you think you need? We can maximize both utilizing both sides of the sign, if applicable instead of a higher quantity
  • What is the size we should consider? We base on the distance viewed, how large type is needed, who and how the sign is viewed
  • What is the location of the sign installation? Helps us determine what type of equipment or height restrictions
  • Temporary or permanent? No need to spend money on the highest quality when you need the sign for a short time.
  • What type of budget are you trying to work within? This helps us to offer the best materials for your price range.
  • How soon do you need the signs? Your deadline.

All these questions give us a better idea of what the client is trying to accomplish. It helps us to suggest the right signs for their needs and avoids the client purchasing a sign that isn’t a good fit.

After clients purchase a sign with us, we like to instruct them on care & maintenance to keep their signs looking great for years to come. Here are some example tips for a yard signs and banner.

When installing yard signs with H-stakes, many will step on the horizontal metal piece which causes it to bend and quickly can lead to breaking. Here are some tips for easy stake installations.

  • Testing the ground where the stake will be placed can avoid hard soil or gravel
  • Breaking up the ground area-kind of like tending or toiling the soil
  • Pour water on the area loosening the soil for easy application of the stake
  • Gently press down evenly with just your hands, the stake should slide into the ground unimpeded
  • When removing the sign, gently pull straight up on the sign and stake together. You can wiggle back and forth as well to loosen it before pulling it out if it is sticking

Caring for the banner is simple. Wipe it down with a damp cloth in between use and always store it dry. Roll it up with the printed side out and store in a cool dry place until needed.

At Front Row Signs, we want to educate our clients on the best materials available for their specific needs. We want to build a relationship on trust, integrity and workmanship. If you appreciate these values too, we would love to hear from you! Call us at 832-222-9385
