Take me out to the ballgame! Its been a tough year without the ability to play or watch spectator sports. We are glad that stadiums are beginning to open up and allow the fans back in to cheer our favorite teams on. We were proud to help our local triple A affiliate for the Houston Astro’s, the Sugarland Skeeters, with their stadium seat wraps. The wraps were offered to all season ticket holders. They were excited as we were! Stadium Seat Wrap

With hundreds of ticket holders interested in getting their personal seat wraps, we knew we had to streamline the process and plan accordingly. We worked seamlessly with the Skeeters staff to set up an easy process to account and prepare for each seat. Lets walk through the process of how we accomplished this task.

Designs-The Skeeters Media team created 4 different designs that the season ticket holders could pick from-3 were specific to the team and the last allowed for customization. Each person’s seat would have their name, or business name as well.

Logistics of the Seats-We took one of the replacement seats from the grounds crew back to the Front Row Signs shop to determine the exact placement of the designs to create a template for each. We needed to ensure not only the designs, but the names as well, would fit perfectly in the allotted spaces. Each seat had a number designation. We had to ensure that they would not be covered up in the wrap process.

Project Management-Keeping track of which ticket holder, had what design, and where would they sit could have been a nightmare! Along with the front office staff, we created a spreadsheet that perfectly laid out each order, seat designation, design chosen and ticket holder or business name. We would have been lost without this way of quality control checking and re-checking throughout the entire process.

Digital print material-There are a lot a vehicle graphic and specialty vinyls out there to choose from but this application would be a little different. We needed the chosen vinyl to stick and conform to the plastic seats, a low energy surface. This was something not many vehicle graphics were designed to accomplish. We also needed them to have easy removability after the season concluded. That way the ticket holder could change the design or change seats for the next season.

Installation-Once all the seat graphics were printed, we trimmed and put them in order of the correct sections. A team of 6, divided and conquered the stadium. Each team of 2, spreadsheets in hand, were responsible for multiple sections. One team member would begin by cleaning all the seats with an alcohol solution. After allowing the seat to dry, they would take the appropriate design and tape to the correct seat. The next team member would double check each taped graphic to ensure it was on the correct seat before beginning to apply. After all the seats were completed, we switched sections to double check each others work and touched up if needed.

At Front Row Signs, we are ready to help our clients with our expertise and planning. Call us today and let us show you how we can give your next sign the impact it deserves. 832-222-9385
