When John Daugherty Realtors inquired about a post and panel sign for their new development, Lacey Oaks, we were ready to help. Their sign was to be the typical post and panel using MDO for the panel and 4×4 posts. Installation was facing toward the road at the front of their construction site.
John Daugherty Realtors have been a presence in Houston’s most sought after neighborhoods since 1967. Offering the upscale and luxury lifestyle is their forte. The Lacey Oaks development was to be no exception.
Even though this was quite a simple sign to create, the clients essentials are always important whether the sign is straightforward or complicated. This post and panel had the graphic on the front and an unfinished side for the back which faced away from the road. The graphic incorporated 5 different logos including the development, realty group, financing, construction company and real estate services group. It also needed the realtor’s name and phone number prominently placed while integrating an artist’s rendering of the development. Our designer created the graphic showcasing each logo around the artist rendering image, with the development name prominent at the top and had the realtor contact information stand out at the bottom.
A sign doesn’t have to be complicated to get the job done. Sometimes the simple design is the best course of action. Signs that are too busy with tons of text or images can be confusing and the intended message is missed. You definitely want to avoid creating an over-complicated sign.
