When West Houston Document Destruction was ready to add some vehicle graphics to their box truck, they came straight to Front Row Signs. They wanted us to install graphics on both side panels and the rear door panel. They wanted their logo to be clearly visible from all angles while driving and we were ready to help!
Our designer created a graphic incorporating their logo with great contrast to the off white truck so it stood out nicely and could easily be seen from a distance. The 2 sided panel graphics measured 48”x96” each and the rear panel graphic was 24”x72”. They opted for cut graphics of the design and chose high quality 3M IJ180 vinyl with matching 3M overlaminate for amazing protection from the elements and long life. After printing and laminating, our Graphtec plotter detail cut every piece of text and images from the design. Our production crew carefully weeded out all the extra vinyl that didn’t contain the graphics and applied transfer tape to the entire piece to ensure an easy application onto the vehicle. After a thorough wash, we prepped the box truck by cleaning it extensively with alcohol and removed any pieces of vinyl from previous graphic jobs. Now it’s time for the installation!
After taking careful measurements, perfecting the alignment and getting the separate pieces level with the horizon, we were ready to apply the printed vinyl. Getting the graphic to lay smoothly over the many rivets a box truck has can be a daunting task. Our experienced installers knew the correct techniques to ensure proper installation that will last for the long haul. Another detail we took into account was the tailgate. Once raised, it blocks part of the rear panel so we applied the graphic accordingly so that it would be seen perfectly!
