Castine and Ted are artists, musicians, lovers of all things sublime, wild ones if you will. When they asked me to photograph their wedding at the Sou’wester in Seaview Washington I could not have been more excited!! Being a wedding photographer based in Portland Oregon, in the northern heart of the Pacific Northwest I am thrilled to get to do so many outdoor weddings at beautiful wedding venues. Many other wedding photographers living in other locations and areas I’m sure can’t say the same. It really is a dream location to live and work and be free. From the forests to the mountains to the rivers to the lakes to the sprawling fields… Oregon and Washington are where it is at!! The Sou’wester isn’t your typical wedding venue, but it sure is a magical place to visit and an even more magical place to get married! The stunning and stylish bride and groom went for a disco, 70’s, flower power vibe. They rocked the party that rocked the party, if you will. 🙂 Disco balls and vintage trailers and the sprawling sand dunes and beach grass and forest made for quite the epic celebration. It did rain for most of the day, but for their beach ceremony the clouds parted and the sun came out and we could hear the birds chirping as they said their wedding vows under the freshly built triangle arch. Who doesn’t love a wooden triangle arch!!?? Am I right? Native Oregonians as well as travelers from afar gathered together to celebrate Castine and Ted’s wonderful love and spark. Their love story is a story to be told! It is a romantic comedy in the making, complete with the happy ending. Congratulations you two crazy love birds! I’m so happy I got to be a part of it!
