Kat & Melissa are kind of the coolest people ever. We definitely decided we were going to be best friends after I photographed their stunning wedding at Cor Cellars winery out in Lyle Washington. Lyle is just a hop skip and a jump from White Salmon, Washington, or Hood River, Oregon (which you are probably more familiar with.) One of the things I love most about living and working in the pacific northwest is all the beautiful locations that are right around the corner! We have mountains, lakes, rivers, forests, fields, and even the beach within a two hour drive. It's pretty rad. The day began at the cutest little A frame cabin Airbnb. If there is one tip I can give to couples as a wedding photographer on getting ready it is atmosphere, atmosphere, atmosphere! It helps me tremendously to take better photographs when all the details like that come to fruition. For this event, everyone was getting ready together having a grand ol' time! Both brides had the most gorgeous BHLDN wedding dresses that fit their style and personality. They didn't know they both decided to shop their until their very sweet first look in the meadow. It was a really great vibe to start the day. Wine country is definitely something I would like to explore more as it was so charming and picturesque! After the first look and some candid portraits, we all headed out to the ceremony location at Cor Cellars. We took some more photos on the grassy bluffs over -looking Mt. Hood. It was gorgeous and windy day! Wine country is definitely something I would like to explore more as it was so charming and picturesque! Their ceremony was genuine and emotional. Afterward, guests enjoyed delicious cocktails, wine and beer from the full bar as well as craft pizza. After dinner I got to stroll up the bluffs one more time in the golden hour of sunset with Kat and Melissa to get some more portraits of them. This is also when we decided we were going to be best friends fyi. The day was quite magical all in all and ended with a pretty epic dance party.
