Jill and Cole came out to the pacific northwest to elope on the columbia river gorge in Oregon. They found an abandoned stone house in the forest not far from Portland and fell in love with the spot. Jill was looking quite stunning with her bohemian dress, floral crown, and colorful tattoos. Their ceremony was held by their best friend. The lovely couple brought their sweet baby along for the adventure.
It’s always fun to help couples plan events like these. Often, people traveling to Portland for a destination event from places outside of Oregon need a little help with location ideas. I definitely have some favorite spots in the woods and out in the gorge for taking photos. This location is especially ideal because of it’s great variety. You can get forest, water, big rock and epic mountain view photos! Or, if you are willing to go on a little drive, the beach is another great location choice. Manzanita, or Cannon Beach, or Seaside are all towns within two hours of Portland… and there are some EPIC beaches out there. Beaches with woods and cliffs and big rocks to climb on. My favorite is when people are willing to wade around in the ocean at the end. It’s the best way to end a photo shoot in my opinion. 🙂
