Insignia Signs recently received a request from a Surgery Center for signage at their patient pick up area. The patients that were being picked up would be discharged to a certain area of the parking lot, but the individuals picking them up didn’t know where to go! That was becoming a big problem for the staff of the surgery center so what better way to make the area STAND OUT than signs!
Dean did a site survey to evaluate the options for the location where patient pick up was. The location had an awning that would be perfect for signage to attract attention.
Dean carefully surveyed the location but because the awning was cloth vinyl was not an option. The only option would be to spray paint the letters directly onto the awning. Once the proof and price were approved, we created a strategy to spray paint the letters. We did a “reverse” weed on the vinyl, meaning we cut the letters to size, but removed the letters from the vinyl. Dean applied the vinyl to the awning and covered the rest of the awning with full sheets of vinyl so any over spray would not get onto the awning. He then sprayed the vinyl which had the letters exposed, let the paint dry, and removed all the vinyl. The letters looked perfect painted onto the awning.
The surgery center also needed, by law, a sign that read “Patient Discharge Area”. We used a galvanized U-Channel post and attached an 18″x24″ .040 Aluminum sign to the post. The size of the sign, type of post, and height of post all matched existing signs on the property. The sign was printed using our HP Latex Printer, and laminated with a UV matte finish. The laminate will protect the sign in the sun and heat for over 15 years. Insignia uses the UV laminate on all outdoors signs to ensure longevity.
We thank the Surgery Center for allowing Insignia to help them with this project. If you need your business to STAND OUT, give Insignia Signs a call!!
