Project: Full Vehicle Wrap of a 1970 Pontiac Firebird Dragster
Scroll down and take a look at the ‘BEFORE’ picture. That’s a custom modified 1970 Pontiac Firebird – and it’s fast! Our job was to make it look hot too, by designing and wrapping the vehicle with custom graphics.
This was a custom project that took a few extra steps to complete. As you can see in the image above, we did a complete wrap on the Firebird, nose to tail. But, because this was a custom vehicle with a modified body, we needed to create a custom template to get this job done right.
If the car is a standard vehicle, with the same body shape as when it came out of the factory, we can find an existing template to use. We lay our design out over the car in our graphics programs, and print and cut sections based on the panel dimensions taken from the template. In this case, because it had been customized, we had to make our own template.
Running on Corn: One thing that makes this hot rod so special is it runs on ethanol derived from corn. This is a lean, mean, and green machine! To incorporate the use of ethanol as its fuel source into the design on the vehicle wrap, we included corn stalks, painted on the sides, which you can see in the image above.
Vehicle wraps are a great way to advertise your business, or turn your favorite hot rod, truck, boat, wave runner, or any other type of vehicle, into a real eye-catcher!
If you need a full vehicle wrap for your hot rod, or any other type of signage, give us a call!
