Exterior Building Signs play a huge role in helping people find there way, telling the passer by who you are and creating your identity. Normally Signs for San Diego makes Exterior Building Signs for retail malls, industrial parks and business parks. But we also create signs for local government and the USMC
The USMC has a tradition of change. The occupants of the building are constantly changing. People are promoted, transferred and switch position. Units are deployed, reassigned and take on new roles. With many of these changes new signage is needed to communicate these changes.
We make exterior building signs out of a range of materials. Here are some of the more common ones:
- DiBond – This is a composite material. It is 2 .012-inch aluminum bonded to a It is durable, has no weathering, incect of rot potential. It is thin and can be routed
- PVC – Poly Vinyl Cloride, This material can be thin or thick, but in the thicker types it is resistant to warpage, weatherproof and can not suffer and bird, incect, rot or termite damage – It is great for letters and logos
- MDO – Medium Density Overlay, This material is a plywood, but it has a smooth surface for sign faces. It is durable and commonly used for post and panel signs
Signs for San Diego choose PVC because it had the depth and created a a high quality Architectural Sign. In this case the Signs are Unit Signs for the USMC Reserves, the 1st Civil Affairs Unit and the 2 BN investigative unit
We are proud to manufacture these in house and serve out US Military.
