Being in the USMC is in constant change. Deployment, returning to the US, reassignment, MOS changes, promotions, discharges, reserve units and other changes are always happening. The billets normally do not change but the people do. Reserve units come and go, Exercises are scheduled, completed and disappear. Service ribbons are added. When the USMC signage needs occur they often come to Signs for San Diego.
Signs for San Diego is just south of Camp Pendleton in Oceanside. We are between the main gate and the San Luis Ray Gate in the middle of neighborhoods where a lot of Marines are living in off base housing. USMC Signs include Name plates changes, parking lot signs, units signs, exercise specific signs. We change ribbons out, and produce the new ones. For example:
The 3D Assault Amphibian Battalion wanted an incident board. This board records the time between disciplinary problems. It serves as a daily reminder that no member is greater than the team and the team is responsible for each and every member. “Together Everyone Achieves More”.
This board has brass hooks and a number set. These record the days without a problem. The USMC needed to order more sets of numbers because the days without incident was high.
Have a signage need on the base? Signs for San Diego would like to produce your sign. Call and let us know what we can do for you!!
