I started 77 Realty Solutions as a Houston based home buying company. Seems like an industries where everyone and their mom are trying to get into. I’m in this for the long haul so I am willing to put in the work on the web to generate leads. Here are some thoughts based on my experience of competing with the masters from day one.

Know your competitors

Page 1 results are always the alpha dogs. Page 2 are the strong but medium sized dogs. Page 3 are the dogs who are just trying to be part of the pack. I realized to be an alpha dog you need to beat out the runts and then the strong dogs.

Research your competitors

• How many pages do they have?
• Which keywords are they ranking?
• Do they have a lot of backlinks?
• What is their Domain Authority (DA) score?

Establish your keywords

Keywords are the words or phrases people use to search. This can get complicated so if you want help see our process for creating website.

Build your site and make it valuable

Would you find value in your site if you were a potential user? You have to be informative in order to rank well. Do you think people will want to read what you wrote or watch the videos you made? If you answered yes to those questions then you are good to go. If you said in any way to any of them then you have more work to do. What separates you from the herd. The alpha dog has a leadership to them that the others don't have but he can be challenged. Assuming you already have a business plan that answers those questions, lets get you online.
