Conveyer & Caster – Equipment for Industry, a regional force in material handling equipment, has grown since their inception in 1961 by increasing sales in existing and entering new territories as well as by acquiring similar companies. Their website indicates that they have a core philosophy of ‘honesty, respect, and clear communication’ not only with customers but vendors. They recently arranged to take over the former KOYO building at the corner of Clemens and Crocker. Koyo had contracted with All Kinds of Signs to put up a new monument sign that was highly visible from Crocker Road. That sign required a new footer, cabinet with 3-D graphics and external lighting. When Koyo decided to vacate the building, they had All Kinds of Signs take down cabinet. Conveyer & Caster contracted with All Kinds of Signs to replace the previous sign with a similar sign that identified the building as theirs. A permit was acquired from the City of Westlake. New aluminum panels were fabricated for the graphics, which are routed PVC and were subsequently painted in Conveyer and Casters colors. The graphics, like the previous characters, were stud-mounted and secured with nuts from the inside. The sign was mounted in place on the footer and the panels put in place. The existing external illumination was retained and no modifications were necessary. Due in no small part to the nature of Conveyer & Caster’s logo, the sign is impactful during the day but even more so at night.
