Roundstone is in the business of designing, implementing and managing ‘alternative market insurance solutions’. The company has experienced tremendous growth since their inception in 2003. They recently outgrew their location in Westlake and moved to a historic building in Lakewood. The building was originally owned by the First Church of Christ Scientist. Roundstone thoroughly remodeled it, taking great care to keep the original neoclassical features intact.
When it came time to address lettering the existing sign, they called on All Kinds of Signs. After the original sign structure was renovated by a local artisan, Roundstone decided their name should be displayed in three-dimensional letters. All Kinds of Signs worked with management to come up with possible solutions. The decision was made to fabricate 1” deep laser-cut acrylic letters, which were painted flat black. The design, which spelled out font and letter dimensions, was completed and the proof shown to management. After proof approval, All Kinds of Signs utilized Gemini, possibly the largest and best known letter manufacturer in the country, to fabricate and paint the letters. In this way, Roundstone received a lifetime warranty on the letters.
The letters were stud-mounted through the newly installed tile that is the background and into the sign structure. This required careful drilling, using an installation pattern and 2 different sizes of sharp drill bits. The installation was completed days ahead of the deadline.
