Recently, we were contacted by a home owner in Ventura to repaint her home. In the image above is a picture of the finished result. The home was painted with a light brownish color and the trim work was all done in white. The end result is a great looking, updated paint job on a great looking home with a gorgeous view of the hills in the background.
In contrast, you can see what the home looked like before the new paint job in the images below. The cream color in which the home was previously painted, seemed to blend in a little too much with the landscape, lacking pop and impact. Earthy tones are often good choices for homes, but only if there is still some contrast. The new color, the light brown, is still in the family of earth tone colors, yet it has enough contrast that is stands out against the greyish hills in the background. And with the freshly painted trim work, it really has some pop.
