A client of ours, Tim, is a resident of Wood Ranch, CA. Recently, he called us to get a quote on getting his home repainted. When we arrived at the home, we could see that there was quite a bit of repair work that needed to be done before the home could be painted. In the image below you can see our team at work on Tim’s house, getting it ready for painting. When prepping a home like Tim’s for painting, we typically start by pressure washing the entire exterior of the house to clean off any dirt, loose paint and build-up. Then we can go in and patch up any cracks, chips or missing stucco around the home.
Next, we scraped and sanded all of the trim on the home, and actually sanded down to the original wood in a lot of areas. If areas of the trim work are damaged, rotten or missing, we will need to make those repairs first, before moving on to adding the primer coat.
Often times, the newly painted home looks drastically different than it did before the makeover. You can see an example of this with Tim’s home, where the before and after pictures of the home look noticeably different. The darker color on the trim and shutters, along with a fresh coat of paint on the house, give the home a much more attractive look.
