Our team recently assisted Enerlites with new lobby and exterior signs in Tustin, CA. The business rebranded and sought an updated building logo and custom lobby signs. We timed the project so that the installation would coincide with the new logo rollout.
For this project, our technicians used half-inch-thick acrylic we cut into the right shapes for the interior and exterior letters. The monument sign needed new acrylic panel inserts to present the change with printed graphics. This completed project is ideal for welcoming customers and visitors to a fully rebranded location.
Rebranding Refreshes a Company’s Image and Identity
When it comes to new signage for a company rebranding, we have some suggestions to make the process as painless as possible. At the same time, you want it to make an excellent impression on those noting the changes. Here is how.
- Logo signs. Start by updating the company’s logo to reflect the new brand identity. Consider the signage placement at the company’s entrance or in the reception area for maximum visibility. The lobby and building signs should be upgraded at the same time.
- Exterior signage. We routinely create new signage for the exterior of the building, displaying the company name, logo, and tagline (if applicable). We choose high-quality materials that align with the brand’s image, such as metal, acrylic, or LED signage. Now is an excellent time to reconsider the signage’s size, color, and placement to ensure it catches the attention of passersby. Exterior signs include the building marker and the monument sign.
- Wayfinding signs. Assess the need for wayfinding signs, especially if the rebranding involves changes in the layout or structure of the company premises. Many companies use branded wayfinding products, so developing updated signs that guide visitors and employees to different departments, floors, meeting rooms, and other critical areas within the building is vital. We assist with selecting clear and consistent design elements, such as colors and typography, to maintain brand consistency.
Custom Rebranding Does Not Always Stop with Lobby Logo and Building Signs
Updated indoor signage reflects the new brand identity. Clients typically include signs for reception areas, conference rooms, restrooms, and other facilities. However, do not forget the vehicle signage. If your company uses cars, trucks, or vans for transportation or deliveries, update the vehicle signage with the new branding elements.
This can include the company name, logo, contact information, and relevant visuals representing the new brand identity. Vehicle signage is a mobile advertising opportunity that can help increase brand visibility.
Besides that, there is the potential for incorporating new or updated digital signage in high-traffic spaces, such as reception areas or waiting rooms. Digital displays allow for dynamic content and showcase the company’s brand story, products, services, or announcements. Finally, think through the overall environmental signage. Examples include murals, vinyl graphics, or inspirational quotes that reflect the company’s values and culture. In some cases, rebranding efforts may have to include them to create a visually cohesive environment.
