The Fullerton School District invited our team to create custom signs and window graphics for schools in Orange County, CA. We loved this project, which turned original student artwork into signage solutions that beautify the campus – with a message.
Student Art Contest Turned Into Wall Graphics by Our Sign Company
The Fullerton School District consists of 21 schools. The friendly folks at the Nutrition Department contacted our shop after being referred to us by a district contact, for whom we did several ADA sign projects.
The department had hosted a student art contest to create drawings or paintings of healthy foods. Representatives then selected three to six student art pieces at each of the nine participating schools. Now, the client wanted our shop to scan the artwork on our high-resolution scanner, add the artist’s name (as it is done with famous painters), and print them.
Our team transformed about half of the artwork into window graphics by the lunch area. The rest we placed as PVC and aluminum composite panels with laminated prints. We installed these during spring break near the lunchroom at each school. This would be a great surprise for the students returning to school and lining up for lunch.
Graphic Wall Panels Display Student Artwork and More!
This project turned student art into wall and window graphics. The district found an excellent way of featuring the artwork and underscoring a healthy nutrition message in the process. We have previously worked with student art. Do you remember the City of La Mirada, which had some traffic control boxes that needed wrapping? The City hosted a contest for designs. We took the winner’s projects and turned them into vinyl wraps for the boxes.
Of course, you do not have to host an art contest to benefit from the look of whimsical artistry. For the City of Buena Park, our graphic artist designed vinyl wraps for electrical boxes that feature adorable Dalmatians. We also wrapped electrical boxes in vinyl to beautify the OC. The advantage of using artwork done by residents of any age is the sense of ownership the finished products give to neighbors.
Are You an Administrator Planning to Put Up Signs and Window Graphics for Schools in Orange County, CA?
We can help! Whether you have educator-designed artwork, department-created specs, or are hosting an art contest for your students, we can turn their vision into durable signage solutions. For the window graphics, choose from opaque or perforated products. The latter lets you see out of the space while those passing by take in the art.
In addition to window graphics, consider using the art for floor-to-ceiling wall wraps, indoor and outdoor displays, floor graphics, and more. Call us today to discuss your options!
