Do you remember the work we did for Diana’s Mexican Food Products? At the time, our team designed, produced, and installed new pylon sign faces to replace badly weathered ones. This client invited us to return and do new pylon sign faces and LED conversion for the company’s Carson restaurant.
LED Conversions for Fluorescent Lighted Signs
Diana’s Carson La Bonita Restaurant is located at 300 East Sepulveda Boulevard. The client identified several problems with its current signage setup:
- Sign faces were worn and looked unattractive.
- Seams connecting the material spanning the ten feet diameter were showing.
- Full illumination no longer worked.
- The sign’s branding was off, and it was time to upgrade the restaurant’s iconic sign face.
Because we had already worked with the business, the management team knew we could take on this project and do an excellent job. During a site survey, we confirmed measurements, verified that the sign’s structure was in good shape, and discussed the new facing’s design with the client.
Next, our technicians got to work on cutting panaflex, a translucent banner material, for the large sign faces. We printed these with a double strike print, which protects the colors from looking washed out when illuminated after dark. For the lower box, we used polycarbonate with the same double-strike print. Now, it was time to replace the old, burned-out lights with LED light stickers that we evenly spaced for a bright, full illumination.
The finished product looks beautiful and beckons to guests with the brand’s iconic graphic.
New Pylon Translucent Sign Faces Return Signage to Its Like-New Display
It is a common misconception that you have to replace your building signs to get a display that looks factory-new. Depending on the signage you have installed, we may be able to just give it a makeover. By the way, LED conversions are another step in modernizing a sign and protecting its good looks. Remember that these light sources do not heat up, which protects the facings.
