Large pole signs, also known as pylon signs, can be a great way to grab the attention of people passing your place of business. Here at The Sign Authority, we really don’t build many new pylon signs because of the regulations that have been put in place over the past several years. If you have a place of business that is next to a highway or if you are in an unincorporated area, the rules can be a bit different. We change out the faces of the existing signs in most cases as long as the signs are compliant with the city’s codes and regulations.
In the case of the pylon sign featured in this article, we changed out the faces with bright and bold new graphics for FTC Oury Group’s new location in Carol Stream. Nick Torresso and Dakota Fara merge businesses to form one full-service home exterior remodeling company. Together they offer their expertise as a “one stop shop” for siding, gutters and roofing. After the merger, they needed a larger facility and found the perfect place in Carol Stream.
Not only did we replace the graphics in their pylon sign, but we also replaced the graphics in the building sign, and added some window graphics to highlight their services. Because of the high traffic on Geneva road in Carol Stream, effective signage is a must.
In addition to adding new sign panels to the pylon sign, we replaced all the bulbs and serviced the pylon sign. Now their sign is like new, with great looking graphics and new “guts” their sign will look like new for many years to come.
