The Sign Authority, Inc., located in Wheaton, IL, recently printed and installed these custom van decals for West Suburban Limousine. West Suburban Limousine is located in Winfield, but services the Chicago-land area. They contacted us, because they purchased a new party van, and need some graphics to advertise the business.
The first thing we did was photograph and measure the vehicle. A lot of sign companies will use templates of vehicles that are purchased online, and we do too, but the templates are not full proof to say the least. When doing a full wrap on a vehicle, even a fraction of an inch can throw off the job because the graphic will not line up with the other panels. It is just good practice to eyeball the vehicle and take detailed photos and measurements. Our graphic design team is trained in the practice of creating their own templates for vehicle wraps, so that everything comes out perfect. In this case, we did not do a full wrap, but we still wanted to ensure the proper measurements were taken.
After the proofs have been approved and the graphics have been printed and laminated, the install begins. We have a garage that we can do the installs in any type of weather. Surface preparation is the next important step in successful adhesion of the decals and graphics on your vehicle. Dust, wax and dirt can ruin a vehicle graphic. We make sure that we take the time to propertly prepare the vehicle by cleaning and using a primer, to make sure that the graphic will last a long time and look great.
The windows were covered with perforated window graphics so passengers could see out, but still have full graphic coverage on the outside of the window. The rest of the vehicle was covered with calendared white vinyl decal that looks great. Now when this limousine is out and about, the carefully applied custom vehicle graphics and decals will attract the attention of passers by and prompt new sales.
