The Sign Authority, Inc. located in Wheaton, Il recently fabricated and installed a brass plaque for Cantigny First Division Museum. The First Division Museum is going through some major changes this year. Because of the renovation the First Division Museum has been closed since Veterans Day, November 11, 2016. They expect to reopen in August of 2017. The footprint of the museum has not changed but visitors will see some exiting differences to the exhibits. The lobby and the exhibit gallery has been refreshed with interactive technology and new displays.
As seen in the above photo, Cantigny needed a new brass plaque for their re-dedication ceremony. The larger brass plaque you see just above the smaller one on the bottom is the original plaque. If you look closely at the date, it was created many years ago. The challenge for this project was to match the plaques as closely as possible. We made a trip out to the site to take photos and match samples that we had here in our showroom to make sure we had the exact color and finish on the plaque to match.
