Privacy is important in any office setting, especially in the designated conference areas, and VigiLanz was looking for exactly that. They had a small meeting space that was surrounded completely by glass doors and they needed a way to make it a little more private. By using frosted vinyl, we were able to add that security without sacrificing the essential natural lighting.
The pictures provided show the end result of the conference room we completed, as well as a small window panel at their entrance. As you can see, that conference room without the privacy film would make one feel like they were on display. With the vinyl, it not only adds the comfort of privacy, but also the attractive appearance of a simple, clean design. The second image of the single window pane serves the same purpose; adding a bit of privacy in an appealing manner.
Founded by two physicians in 2001, VigiLanz Corporation provides enterprise software to clinics and businesses regarding inpatient and outpatient populations. Their software works in conjunction with electronic medical records to identify and analyze real-time clinical issues. This helps avoid or minimize harm, optimize clinical outcomes, and supports preventive care.
This project was a very straightforward process, as the client was looking for simple rectangular film panels, rather than any elaborately decorative design. We always like to use 3M’s sturdy, frosted film for customers as it is high-quality and applies well. To prepare for installation, we took measurements of the panels as
a whole, and where the film was to start and end. The pieces were pre-cut for easy, precise installation. Once ready to install, we thoroughly cleaned the application areas and started in the top corners of each panel. The film was slowly stretched and flattened to the glass surface, ensuring there are no cuts, creases, or bubbling.
Frosted window vinyl has many benefits in an office setting. First and foremost, it adds privacy to a place that may not have it otherwise.
