A key aspect of opening any new business is making sure you have professional and attractive signage. We were asked by the owners of the new Scout and Molly’s boutique to help their business put its best face forward on opening day, and we were happy to do so. The pictures provided show all of the signage we created and installed for the business. On the storefront we used two exiting acrylic panels and covered them with a digital print, paired with a custom built ampersand. We also used an illuminated projecting sign, which really maximizes the space. On the rear of the building, we used a custom blade sign, designed to match the business’ aesthetic. Scout and Molly’s is a franchise fashion boutique that first opened its doors in 2002 in Raleigh, NC. In 2007, they had seen enough success to open a second store in Raleigh’s popular outdoor shopping center, North Hills. Eventually, they opened the business up to franchisees and now boast 20 locations across the U.S., with 25 more on the way. They are the perfect place to shop for your favorite boutique brands and are known for their hands-on customer service. We started with the panel signs on the storefront, which we were able to use the already existing acrylic panels for. We created a digital print out of the Scout & Molly’s logo and applied it to the panels. The illuminated projecting sign was made in much the same way, with a translucent digital print applied over the white acrylic faces. The blade sign on the rear of the store is also a digital print, applied over acrylic and affixed to a pre-made bracket. The largest benefit from business signage is that you are visible in the community. A business is easy to ignore if nothing about it catches your eye, but the hot pink aesthetic of Scout & Molly’s makes them near impossible to ignore. The professional style and creative design tells customers that it is a quality business and they can expect the same from their products and services.
