We received a call from a representative at DanceLife Ballroom off Lyndale Ave in Minneapolis. Their reception area was in need of some branding and they felt that metal lettering would do the trick. After discussing their needs and choosing the size, wording, and the style of finish, we quickly got started.
The image provided shows how the final product appears in their space. Originally, the company wanted lettering that was about a three quarters to half the size of these, but they quickly decided they would rather some something larger. We came back and installed the letters you see here, which we all agreed was an improvement. The lighting above reflects off the sleek metal surface, giving it a nice aesthetic and easily catching the eye. The company name stands out against the wall, but still remains a subtle touch.
DanceLife Ballroom provides professional instruction on many different styles of dance, including ballroom, Latin, swing, salsa, and more. Lessons can be either public or private, and you can even rent out portions of their space for practicing your own routines. Not sure if dance is right for you? Don’t worry, they offer complimentary introduction lessons!
We purchased the desired letters from one of our suppliers and were able to have them delivered with the appropriate finish already applied. Once we received them, we took time to carefully clean and inspect each letter, making sure they were exactly what the customer was looking for. When they changed their mind on the size, we were able to quickly swap them out for the same style, just a bit larger. Once we had the new letters, we went to install them. A stencil was used on the wall so we could easily place the studs where the letters would be attached. Once the studs were in place, it was a simple matter of attaching each letter and making sure it was centered. We did a final cleaning of the letters with a cloth and took a step back to look at the beautiful final product.
It is important to brand your space with your company name and/or logo. It not only helps customers know they are in the right area, but it also reinforces your brand in their mind. It’s a reminder for employees, too, hopefully giving them a sense of pride in their workplace due to the reputation and professional appeal. A business with stark, blank walls and zero branding can come off as cheap, out-of-date, and unprofessional; something you want to avoid in order to stay ahead of the competition. Be sure to remain consistent in your branding. Your lobby sign should match, or be very similar to, your exterior signage, brochures, stationery, and any other marketing materials you have.
Are you in need of a new sign for your lobby or reception area? Give Signsational Graphics a call at 651 633-2233. We have near limitless options when it comes to the design and style of lobby signage and can custom make them exactly to your liking. Not sure what exactly you want? Don’t worry, our team of professional graphic designers will work closely with you to come up with something that is well-branded and completely unique to your company.
