We were recently contacted by Mark Elliot homes to design and manufacture signage to be used in advertising their available real estate. In order to keep costs down for them, we offered to use some recycled real estate sign bases that had been given to us. They loved the idea and we quickly went to work.
The images provided show one of the completed signs from two views. The close, angled view shows the layout of the sign content and how well the project came out. We used their trademark color palette and it makes the sign quite noticeable and very easy to read. The second photo shows the sign as a whole, with the informational brochure box on the side. This was added so that the company could provide additional information for anyone that may be interested in working with them.

Creating the sign was a pretty straightforward process, especially since we were able to use the base of a recycled real estate sign. Each section was laid out on the computer in a design program and then sent to the printer. The map and letteri
ng are all quality 3M vinyl, so after printing they went through the die-cutter and were then weeded to remove any excess material. A rough stencil was first laid out to give us a guideline of where to put the vinyl. Then, we carefully lined up the side corners of each piece and smoothed them over the surface. Once each piece was laid, we gave them a quick once-over to ensure it was free of bubbles, ripples, or tearing. The panel was already attached to the posts, so we just had to secure the box on the side.
The benefit of this kind of standing pillar signage is that it gets noticed. It doesn’t have to compete against the side of a building for visibility, just with the environment around it. Using light colors that contrast against the environment makes it pop and the size makes it easy for people to see, whether they are on foot or in a vehicle. These signs also give a professional feel to the site and make it extremely simple for a person to express interest and get in contact with the company.
