Not long ago, we received a phone call from the owner down at Dixie’s on Grand, inquiring about some exterior signage for their new addition. It was right around Saint Patrick’s Day, so for this Irish pub, it was time to get to work.
In the picture provided, you can see the exterior wall lettering and the lit projecting sign that were custom made for our clients at Emmet’s. They had a very specific font in mind for their namesake, which we were happy to craft into these gorgeous, high-quality letters. The shiny gold color makes their brand pop right off the green background, while the bright, shamrock apostrophe helps tie the theme together.
Situated in what used to be the banquet room at Dixie’s On Grand, Emmet’s Public House is a project near and dear to the owners. Named after and debuted for the owner’s father, it pays homage to a very special man. The family has been serving hot food and cold drinks to the community since 1985 and we predict they will continue to do so successfully for years to come.
The main part of this project, the exterior wall lettering, was made out of plastic from special molds to get the correct font. The plastic material came in this ideal shade of gold, which makes the process as simple as heating it up and forming it to shape. The Celtic knot and other aspects of the projecting sign were painted to match the lettering.
When it comes to signage like this, the benefits are pretty straight-forward. Not only do you want to get your business name out there, but you want to do it in an attractive and cost-effective way. These letters are lightweight and fairly simply to install, making them an ideal option for exterior signage. When the lighting is added, it pulls everything together and helps make it truly stand out.
