Ever built something than realized you already need more space? This is what happened to Saint Faustina Catholic Church in Fulshear, TX. Their parish is growing exponentially. They are preparing to expand on their additional property to house the many families that are moving to the Katy and Fulshear areas. Our client needed some signs that would be installed on a wood frame with 2 posts that was built by the church. We just needed to supply the sign substrate and print. They wanted 2 of them; one in English and one in Spanish. They also had an in house designer that would create the sign design and supply us with the print ready file. We worked with the client to prep the design format into a high quality file appropriate for print media. The design included some text and an artist rendering of the new construction.
The single sided sign is 8’W x 4’H based on the size of the existing frame built ahead of time. We used Aluminum Composite Material (ACM) for the substrate. ACM is made of three layers: a low-density core, and 2 pieces of aluminum bonded to each side. This substrate allows for a high structural rigidity and low weight. Since these were installed in a high wind area, they needed to be structural sound but also cost effective so ACM was the perfect choice. Our digital image was printed on HP GP high performance calendared vinyl for vibrant color, great substrate adhesion and HP polymeric gloss laminate for the utmost protection. This vinyl installs easily with a low profile air release liner. We also used HP inks specifically designed for our large format HP 360. Original HP printing materials, Original HP inks, and HP large format printers are designed to work together as a system to provide reliable, consistent, quality results that help save time. Prints produced with HP Latex Inks also provide a better approach with end-to-end environmental sustainability.
