Ron Frank gave us a call to help design and install a post and panel sign for his new construction project, Bella Palma. Fairly simple in construction, post and panel signs are created with posts attached to a panel. They are very common signs, especially in new construction sites. Most are made of MDO or Max-Metal, can be single or double sided, and are installed with wooden or metal posts.
The retail center construction for this current job is located on Mason road in Katy. The client wanted the sign to take advantage of this busy street location. We had a couple of options to achieve this. We could either have one double sided panel or 2 separate panels installed in a V-shape angle. Ron chose the v-shape option.
For the design, the client wanted to include an image of how their new retail space would look along with the contact information. A simple request but we were up to the task to create a sign offering high visibility and impact.
For the materials, we chose an intermediate calendered vinyl that could withstand the elements. Since this was a temporary sign installed during the construction phase, offering the client a high performance option would have been overkill. We opted for two 4’h x 8’w pieces of white painted ½” MDO. Since we had to attach the 2 panels together at an angle, we prepared three 2×2 white posts.
Due to the size and angles, we measured the posts and anchored them in with concrete. Based on our pre-install site survey, we prepared a safe and efficient way to complete the install while optimizing placement for highest visibility.
Our team of experts take great pride in their sign creations from design to install having multiple quality control checks throughout the process. One of our team members would love meet with you anytime. Give us a call today at 832-222-9385
