We recently received a service call from Mr. and Mrs. Will and Joan S. or Concord, California. We were called out to take a look at their electrical panels and recommend a course of action if any were necessary. When we arrived to their home in Concord we found that there were definitely some things that needed to be done.
First we eliminated the sub panel that they had. It was not up to safety regulations and it was not in the proper area. It needed to be moved to a different location on the house. So we got rid of the sub panel and relocated the main panel to new place. You can see in the picture above with Joan S. and her new main electrical panel that the new location is in a very safe and easily accessible location.
With the new main panel installation her whole house is now surge protected.
When we had to re-locate the main panel it create a small problem that concerned the customer. The old location of the main panel was cut right into the vinyl siding of her house. She was concerned about the gaping hole that would be left when the panel is removed. And making matters worse the old location of the main panel was extremely hard to reach. But because we come across this kind of situation on a regular basis, we were able to patch up the hole and you can’t even tell there used to be a a panel there. This of course made Joan very happy and was a major relief.
