This a video covering how to install recessed lighting in 7 easy steps.  As always you should only work with electricity if you know what you're doing.  In this video circular lights are installed in the ceiling. Step 1 Turn off the power!  Make sure to double check using a voltage meter. Step 2 Decide where to install your lights.  With a stud finder you can locate where your studs are and mark where you want to install your lights with a pencil.  A good trick shown in the video is to stick a metal coat hanger into the ceiling and bend it to use as a feeler.  This will help you to make sure there isn't anything in the wall where you're trying to install your lights. Step 3 Cut the holes.  Lights come with a stencil you can trace on your wall or ceiling so you make sure to have the right size hole. Step 4 Wire up your lights.  Install the light making sure to connect black to black, white to white and ground to ground with wire nuts. Step 5 Install the housing.  Once in place bend the flanges or 'tangs' to hold the housing in position. Step 6 Install the trim piece.  This connects to the housing.  Screw in the light bulb. Step 7 Turn on the power and test you lights.
