Pick the spots where you’d like to install your recessed lights and mark with a pencil. You can use a stud finder to make sure that you’ll have room behind the wall to install your lights.

Make your cuts. The lights should come with a stencil to help you make sure that your holes are the right size.
Step 4
Wire the connections for your lights.

Install the housing.
Step 6
Install the trim piece can holds the light fixture to the housing. Screw in the light bulb.
