A car that is overheating could be a serious problem.  There are several possible causes of an overheated car.  To have your car checked out to determine the cause contact an auto mechanic in 77018. If the temperature gauge on a vehicle has moved over to the “hot” side, it’s a sign that your car could be in need of repair.  Do not continue to drive it if this is the case.  Instead, turn to a trusted mechanic to make the necessary repairs.  It’s best to address the problem right away rather than to wait for the inevitable breakdown to happen.  It could be from one of the following issues.

Coolant

One cause of overheating could be related to the coolant.  If the water and antifreeze mixture isn’t circulating as it should, it can't do its job of keeping the engine cool, which could lead to overheating.  Check coolant regularly to avoid this complication.

Leak

Another cause of overheating could be a leak in the coolant system.  If the car is leaking antifreeze, it will run low and have no way to cool down the engine.  An auto repair mechanic can find and fix the leak to get your car in working order once again.

Coolant Hose

Over time, the hose that circulates the coolant can become worn out or detached.  It may even become blocked.  A proper inspection can reveal any hose issues that need fixing so the coolant can continue work as it should to keep your engine cool.

Other Concerns

If the cause of overheating isn’t one of the problems listed above, it could be another even bigger issue such as an engine or radiator problem.  These types of car problems are best left to the experts. If you are experiencing overheating problems, be sure to get your car into an auto mechanic as soon as possible to diagnose and repair the problem.  Contact Liberty Garage.  Our expert mechanics will inspect the car thoroughly to find the problem and make any necessary concerns so you can get back out on the road again safely.
