Even though there are MANY words to read on Thor Door – you can read them easily because of the simple colors on white.
In the last few months, I’ve been actively suggesting that contractors in our neighborhood have some sort of a door identification (at least) when they come into our housing area to do work. That way we are more likely to distinguish them from someone who might be bringing a truck into our neighborhood and use it to empty our houses, etc. . . We would all feel much safer this way. For this kind of situation, all the trucks really need to have is their name on the doors and probably the back, along with a license number, phone number, and maybe an address. . . Nothing fancy is needed, unless of course, they want to advertise. Then I would suggest a logo, two or three colors, and a little something to catch attention. Maybe a slogan, too . . .
This is an example of someone who is showing their brand. You see it all the time with the cable guy, electric company, upscale plumbers and carpenters, etc. . . (Did you notice that I said “upscale”? ). . . . Anyone who wants to increase their credibility should consider this.
On the other hand, we have trucks and vehicles that are wrapped with eye catching graphics, colors, and information. These are the ones that are looking for new business. Personally, my car is wrapped with bubbles! It didn’t turn out to be as beautiful as I imagined, however, it gets a lot of attention. I find people who are walking in crosswalk and to stop in front of my car to admire the bubbles! I am upset when I see people talking on their cell phones while driving, however, when I was stopped at an intersection one day, the man next to me was taking a note on his phone – my phone number! How can I get upset at that? I’ve had people (stopped at the light) yell out the window at me when I have the window down . . . “How much would that cost?” or “Does that hurt your car?”, or other practical questions (and a few flirts) . . .
There are also things that are required on commercial trucks. Certain types of trucks are required by law to have their license and name on commercial trucks, tractors, and etc. . .
You decide. . . . Because, Your Sign IS Your Signature!
