Earlier this week, an existing client came to see us. He was discouraged by what someone has been doing to the mailboxes at the end of his culdesac. . . He said that they have pushed mailboxes over from the front backward, and from the back forward. He also said that the set of mailboxes was perched on a 2 x4 configuration which was never a very sturdy situation. Mostly, he was fed up with the lack of respect from a group of people toward his property.
He decided to get the most sturdy, professional looking set of mailboxes he could find, and then he brought it by. . . He had already arranged for a hole to be dug and filled with concrete, so all he needed was an easy to spot (and read) graphic for the boxes. He also has a neighbor who is a commercial diver, so he needed something to attract attention, too. The third tenant hasn’t been named.
The mailboxes also need to be seen easily by delivery trucks and others who will be turning off of a busy street, and there is a pole which also blocks some of the view. . .. Since our client’s logo is one that attracts automatic recognition, he wanted to make it as large as possible. We also have regulations in the area which keep any of us from using too big of a sign. This may be good for the community, but sometimes makes it very hard to find a business, especially if you are driving a big rig.
What we did:
Logo down the pole which goes into the ground, logo on either side of the set of mailboxes (big enough to cover the entire surface), and logo on the door of the mailbox. The diver’s logo is the diver flag which is red and draws attention too. . .
Now the mailboxes are not only secure, but they serve as a legal sign. Job accomplished!
THOR DOOR is the client in this scenario. We have done other things for them in the past. It is nice to have all of the graphics on hand, so that this simple job did not become a big complicated one! They are a commercial door construction and installer. Call them for your next mall!
