We were referred to Kerr & Son recently by an existing client - Kevin Fairweather of InUse Solutions. Butch had been working with a sign company that didn't understand what he wanted to display on his very large truck.
Butch had asked for a graphic which was as similar as possible to the one he already had, but was given a font with wild protrusions like nothing I have ever seen. (I understand that the designer had an idea he wanted to share with Butch - I have been known to do this too, if I know of a solution which is better for the client. This one wasn't). . .
After speaking with Butch, I made a file that looked exactly like the one he had previously asked for. We made a few changes to update the information, and then he was ready to go! I learned that the tomato red letters are underlined with neon orange! Who would have known? It's his trademark. He also needed to have a little more bend in the final name to fit well on the door of the truck. And, he also needed the LIC number, and a separate number for his truck.
I hope we will see Butch soon. I'd love to work with him again! We have worked with several of these big trucks. It's a new experience to get "so close and personal" with a truck when its not on the freeway! You just thought you were afraid to pass it on the curvy road around Shasta and Shasta Lake!
I'm looking forward to working with the trailer on one of those big boys! I have all kinds of ideas for them!
Thanks, Kevin. . . . . . Until Next Time. . . .
