final posterThe banner you are considering is one of the best advertising and promotional values available for short term advertising. Here are a few suggestions to get the most out of your banner. Please also keep in mind that even though it is a banner, your city or county has regulations about banners, size and limits as to how long it may be displayed.  Expectations Your banner is made out of fabric, and when it is used outdoors, it is at nature’s mercy. Be realistic in your expectations - it is strong, but it shouldn’t be considered a substitute for a permanent sign made of a more rugged material, such as plywood or metal with vinyl. . .  If you are going to install the banner, be sure it is securely anchored. If used outdoors, and strung between two structures, be aware that the wind can exert considerable force on it. Tie it securely to something that can take such a load. It should be taunt, but not stretched tight. Slight sagging is inevitable.  It may be necessary to cut wind holes in the face of your banner, depending upon the location in which you choose to hang it. This enables the wind to flow through the banner without ripping it. Take special caution when choosing a location, since even wind holes will rip open in a very windy area.  Installation Since a fabric sign may be subject to environmental conditions that are extreme at times, we cannot be responsible for damage that might be done to the banner (or caused by the banner) while in use. This also applies to damage caused by improper installation.  Cleaning Periodic cleaning will keep your banner looking great. To clean, use water and a mild detergent. Avoid harsh cleaners and solvents that might damage the fabric. Storage Banners should always be rolled for storage, never folded. It’s best to roll the banner around a tube that is 4-5 inches in diameter. If the banner lettered with vinyl graphics, it is a good idea to rollout with a sheet of paper over the face so that any adhesive along the edge of the letters that become exposed during storage will not adhere to the fabric they touch. It is better to roll banners with the graphics on the outside rather than on the inside.  Re-Use If you are going to use your banner for the same function next year, please let us know in advance so that we can help you with wording. If you store it carefully, we may be able to remove this year’s dates and add next year’s. . .
