The office of Signature d’Sign custom signs and vehicle wraps is very close to the Concord Chevron campus. It has been in this location since the late 60’s and, because of it’s size, and the fact that it employed over 800 people, it has been a landmark to everyone who lives anywhere near it. The offices have been closing since 2014, and the employees have been relocated to San Ramon and other Chevron offices. Now the demolition has begun. The row of beautiful, huge trees is gone and the building is coming down, bit by bit.
When I was driving through the parking lot at the (next door) Willows Shopping Center the other day, the realization came to me. I could see over the fence, and the amount of devastation was amazing. . .
The upside of all of this is that there will be a beautiful new upscale shopping center located here by 2017, and planning to open that October. The Veranda will have many outdoor shopping and dining options and I expect it will be beautiful, and supply many people with jobs. . .
As I watched from my car, I saw a similarity to the job Signature d’Sign does. . . Did you know that we can strip off an old vehicle wrap? Do you need to return in a leased car or truck, or rebrand a vehicle? We can remove those “tattoos” which are your old logos. We rebranded several of the wave vehicles this year. We have also removed dried, cracked vinyl (probably wasn’t 3M), from other vehicles so that a new wrap could be applied.
After a wrap has been on a vehicle for 7 to 10 years, it can become cracked, faded and it sticks to a vehicle like old nail polish. It sometimes needs to be removed in the same way, with a small plastic razor blade and a heat tool. Sometimes we can use an eraser tool which involves a drill type instrument with an eraser disc. In any case, it can be tedious and time consuming.
If you qualify in any of the areas we have mentioned above, feel free to stop by and talk to us about it. Since we have no idea of the materials we will be removing, we charge for the job by the hour. . . Come and visit!
