If people are wandering, hesitating, or asking for directions, your signage system is working against you.
North Coast Signs recently partnered with Glanbia in Carlsbad, CA to overhaul their property’s directional signage as part of a broader rebranding initiative. As a manufacturer operating on a multi-building site, Glanbia needed signage that didn’t just point the way—it had to do it with confidence, clarity, and brand consistency. Based in Vista, we work with manufacturers throughout Carlsbad and the surrounding region who are ready to stop sending mixed signals and start streamlining their facility flow.
We Replaced Guesswork With Clear, Branded Direction
Before our upgrade, Glanbia’s directional signs were outdated and visually inconsistent. Some used old branding, while others were faded, unclear, or poorly placed. We began the redesign process with a complete site walkthrough and survey. Our team took detailed measurements, assessed traffic flow, and photographed each sign location. With those insights, we created digital proofs showing how the newly branded signage would appear across each directional point—ensuring that every turn, entrance, and decision point would be backed by clean, professional signage.
Bold Fabrication Backed By Durable Materials
The signage didn’t just look good on screen—it had to hold up in a manufacturing environment. We refurbished existing 4-inch-thick directional signs with a full repaint, sanding away the old finish and applying a new color scheme in Pantone-matched blue, yellow, and white. For new builds, we used solid sign panels fabricated to match the originals in size and structure. Graphics included 1/8-inch acrylic lettering painted Pantone blue, paired with Glanbia’s round orange logo printed in full color on gloss and matte finishes. These materials weren’t chosen by chance. They were selected for durability, visibility, and brand alignment.
Every Letter Was Measured. Every Mount Was Engineered.
Our team applied the graphics using a combination of VHB tape and silicone for long-term hold and clean presentation. We ensured each directional sign maintained a consistent hierarchy and legibility from all approach angles. Posts were installed in-ground with hand-dug concrete footings for maximum stability—an essential detail on industrial campuses where landscaping, weather, and heavy foot traffic can all compromise sign integrity if corners are cut. With North Coast Signs, nothing is left to chance.
The Result Was Simpler Navigation and Stronger Brand Presence
The new signage made the property easier to navigate not just for visitors but also for vendors, new hires, and internal teams who move between departments daily. The unified color palette, consistent logo use, and updated placement plan allowed the Glanbia brand to feel intentional and consistent across every physical touchpoint. This wasn’t just a signage upgrade. It was a site-wide systems improvement—with benefits visible from the parking lot to the plant floor.
