We love all our jobs, but it's always exciting when a company comes to you when just opening a business and needs a complete signage package from scratch! The possibilities are endless and it gives us a chance to really shine as a sign company when picking out the right materials, installation process and creativity of their designs. So when Creative Minds contacted us and let us know they needed the whole package, we were immediately turning the wheels on how we would meet their needs and help their vision really come to life.
Creative Minds is located in Carlsbad and are makers of Craft® Masonry Veneer and Natural Stone Veneer. They handcraft innovative exterior and interior wall cladding solutions for today’s discerning specifier. Their veneer stone products are craft made and quarried here in the USA. Their products are beautiful and we wanted to make sure that their signage complemented their quality of work and really showed off their craftsmanship. Because we are a full service sign shop, we're always up for such a challenge and immediately got to work with checking on permits required by the City of Carlsbad.
Once we had all the information we needed from the City, we drafted up our permit docs and submitted them. We then got together with our Design Team and started to put together proofs for Creative Minds to see. Once all permits were acquired and proofs were approved, we turned to our Fabrication stage and started putting the pieces together.
Their custom building sign was the first project we started on. We chose 1” thick PVC, and used a Pantone gray to match their company logo. The storefront sign sits at 21.3” tall by 110” wide, with a 11.5” tall pickaxe icon which shows off their handcrafted side of their business. We flush mounted the sign with VHB and silicone so it would be stable and last for years to come.
Window Graphics were our next project. To add a little pizzazz to their front doors, we printed their logo and pickaxe on frosted vinyl and had our installation team install these on the front doors that people walk through when touring their showroom.
Our final part of this project was installing a custom vinyl print on both sides of their multi-tenant monument. This required approval from the building's landlord and had to meet their specifications. Once we completed the panel to match the monument onsite, our installers went out and secured the panel. As you can see from the photo below, it came out great!
Every one of our client's requests was met with their approval and they loved the finished product. Being able to hand over all the signage work to us; from acquiring the permits, to design, production and installation allowed them to be able to do what they do best. In the end we were able to bring their vision to fruition without worrying about any of the processes to make it happen. [caption id="attachment_2790" align="alignleft" width="300"]
