Custom Lobby Panel Signs for Consulting Firm – San Diego, CA
The first thing you look for when you walk into a multi-tenant lobby is usually signage to show you where to go. So when we get a call from a client for lobby signage, we want to make sure it’s clear, professional looking and does what it was made to do, direct clients to the right location.
When Singelyn Consulting contacted us needing not one, but two lobby signs, we knew we wanted them to look unique, but also complement each other at the same time. We have a list of questions we ask whenever getting started on a new project. We want to see what the colors in the office lobby are. We request vector images of any logos they might want to use, we ask if they have a branding guide for those logos (requiring certain colors, layout, etc.). Once we have that information we can then go to our Design Team and have them put together a proof for our client’s to see. Singelyn Consulting requested a sign for their IT/Management Consulting Firm as well as for Wireless Ecosystems business.
Park of our services is looking into the City’s requirements for signage. Then we followed up with the their landlord’s requirements. Making sure you are meeting these before designing and fabricating is absolutely necessary. Since we do this on a daily basis, we are knowledgeable about many Cities in the local area, so we know our way around what they require, but we always go through the proper channels so everything is done properly.
Once we had necessary permit documents, our Design Team received a raster version of their logo, which is pretty common in our businesses. When we do receive a raster logo, we will have our team take the time to vectorize it so we can enlarge it to the size we need while keeping the quality clean and crisp. Once the proofs were approved by our client, our Fabrication Team got to work. Our team manufactured both signs from clear acrylic with flame-polished edges and dimensional letters mounted to the surface, recreating the company logos. Both lobby signs looked great and complemented one another. Each is made from 1/4”-thick acrylic with 1/4”-thick lettering. And each has the letters mounted flush to the panel, with drilled holes and four standoffs featuring brushed aluminum caps with a 1” radius and 1.5” barrels. We used two Pantone colors to best match their current logos. One was painted a Pantone Blue and the other a Pantone Red.
