One of our clients in Carlsbad, CA, Save on Resorts, contacted us to get a quote on a new exterior sign that was updated so that it could be seen better at night. We knew an illuminated sign would be ideal for this purpose, but had to do a bit of work to ensure that the design was approved by both the City of Carlsbad, and the building landlord. Ultimately, we worked with our client and the other parties to create a beautiful exterior sign that made everyone happy.
Exterior Illuminated Sign
Save on Resorts is a Carlsbad-based company that offers solutions to travel clubs, resorts, and other companies working in the travel industry. They take a partnership-based approach, much like our own, to ensure that their own clients are happy with the outcome. We knew that with these values it would be easy to work with Save on Resorts, and we were pleased to find a successful outcome for this client.
Both the building’s landlord and the City of Carlsbad had sign criteria, which we worked to meet as we secured landlord approval and documentation so that we could apply for a permit with the city. While we did have to revise the sign wireway and construction to finalize the project, it’s all part of what we offer at North Coast, to make the process easier for our clients who know we have it all in our hands.
Reverse Pan Illuminated Sign
With city and landlord approval, and the client’s approval of our design files and proofs, we custom fabricated the illuminated reverse pan letter sign. It features 23.5” tall letters that create the Save on Resorts logo, on a hinged, 2” deep, 24” by 306” wireway painted the appropriate exterior color. We installed it all on site with a 40’ articulating boom lift, a service we offer to our clients so they can be assured that installation is done correctly, with the right equipment for the job, every time.

The result is a beautiful reverse pan illuminated sign that helps attract customers to our client, while meeting the requirements of the city and the building itself. Everyone was happy with the results, including us.
