There’s nothing we love more than bringing a great logo to life. Milton’s Craft Bakers in Carlsbad, CA, has a gorgeous logo, which they wanted to be created into a large 3D logo sign to display in their newly renovated corporate office lobby. Having worked with us in the past, they reached out to us to create a 3D lobby sign that suited their space.

Milton’s is a food company that is passionate, creative, and joyful. Check out the image and you’ll see that their logo could be described the same way. It is a fun logo, with gradient rings of green and purple, large text in eye-catching fonts, and a smaller leaf graphic in the lower corner. We wanted to create the 3D logo sign to pop visually, and in consulting with our client, determined what materials would fit their needs, their budget, and their goals.
A 3D logo sign, also called a dimensional lobby sign, is a good choice for clients like Milton’s, who want something that stands out as much as the quality of their products. This type of 3D logo sign is made with layered materials, in this case acrylic, to create the added dimension. After meeting with our client in their space, and taking photos and measurements of the space where the sign would be installed, we got to work on the design. We presented a design proof for our client, Milton’s, based on their logo with each layer segment created separately, and mounted together. With their approval, we created the result.

The acrylic custom 3D logo lobby sign measures a full 65 inches wide, for a big visual impact. We chose Pantone colors for the design elements to ensure a perfect color match with the rest of Milton’s Craft Bakers’ branding. The word ‘Milton’s’ is painted in Pantone 2603 purple, on 1/2” thick acrylic. ‘Craft Bakers’ is made from 1/4" thick acrylic, painted Pantone 348c green.
The text is mounted onto 3/8” thick white acrylic, cut and contoured to an egg shape with painted edges. The leaf image is also contour cut with painted green edges, with a vinyl print mounted on top. Materials are custom printed and laminated for longevity, and the entire sign is stud-mounted flush into the drywall, complete with a custom drill pattern and hardware. We paid attention to every detail of this sign.
