Post and Panel Sign - LPGA Kia Classic, Carlsbad, CA[/caption]
For the past four years, we have provided signage for the LPGA Kia Classic, held at Aviara Golf Club in Carlsbad, CA. This was the eight year for this tournament, and the crowd grows larger each and every year. As big fans, we’re always eager to step up to the tee and deliver the signage projects requested! Once special sign request is the post and panel sign for the Hole-in-One.
On the 15th hole, if the player made a hole-in-one on this tee, they won the Kia K900 car displayed! It’s the longest par 3 on the course, and quite an accomplishment if they are able to make the hole-in-one!
To advertise this special competition, a large post and panel sign was required. Measuring 4’ x 6’, it stands displaying the car with details of the event, for the skilled golfer who wins!
The post and panel sign needed to be portable (and move to the next city’s tournament), so a vinyl frame system was be the best choice. Constructed of durable white vinyl frame, with aluminum bars top, bottom, and side for structural integrity, the sign stands prominently. Most importantly, it came with ground-breaker stakes – a metal spike which is hammered into the ground, with attachments without needing to dig a hole in the ground. Great for golf courses (where the greens must be kept pristine)! And excellent for portability! The sign panels where ACM (Aluminum Composite Material), 3mm thick, with a high-resolution digitally printed graphic with UV laminate. It was sized 4’ x 6’ to fit the frame, and fit beautifully. We also provided the graphic panel for the next event in Phoenix, just swapping out the sign panel but using the same post and panel sign frame.
Kia Motors sponsor this annual LPGA golf tournament. Naturally, they want their logo displayed on all the signage, with consistent branding. The Kia Classic is a favorite women’s golf tournament held each year as part of the Ladies’ Professional Golf Association calendar. The Aviara Golf Club puts on a great event, and the course is spectacular. Mirim Lee won the 2017 tournament, with a close, exciting finish.
