Exterior Directory Sign
In this industry, it’s particularly rewarding when you get to deliver a sign that knocks the socks off what was there before. We recently designed two exterior directory signs to replace two old wooden ones that had grown weathered and sun-faded, having to be removed. The client, a San Diego landlord, needed something eye catching and durable for an office building complex it leases in Carlsbad. We were only too pleased to help.
Custom Directory Sign for 3150 El Camino Real
As you can see from the photo, the results are striking. The brown and ivory color scheme blends well with the building itself, and the sign is easy to read. The arch at the top was inspired by the building’s architecture.
We enjoyed working with this client and it was satisfying to receive repeat orders shortly after. We now hope to deliver signs for more of the properties on the client’s books. 3150 El Camino Real is a beautiful and stylish property set in a suburban business park. Both the posts and panels for these exterior directory signs are made from durable aluminum. To protect it from the elements, two coats of a tough exterior paint were applied. There are eight single-sided removable panels that slot into the frame. All text was created with white cut vinyl. When new tenants arrive, it is simple to apply new white cut vinyl to their aluminum slat. We take great care to ensure the fonts remain consistent, however small the text. The sign frame is 49” high by 36” wide. Each sign has two 8’ posts with concrete footings, ensuring a rock solid foundation.
Exterior Directory with Removable Panels
Our exterior directory signs are easy to clean and maintain. The panels can be removed easily to allow straightforward replacement of lettering when required. They serve the job they were intended for extremely well: guiding visitors to the right office in the building.
