Flood Med Restoration, Inc., located in Carlsbad, CA, is a family owned and operated company specializing in mold remediation, flood restoration and water damage mitigation. They’re a client of ours that has hired us in the past to produce and install wraps for their fleet of service vehicles. We received a call from them not too long ago because they wanted to add another truck wrap to their existing fleet of vehicles. Although the artwork used was similar to van graphics we provided in the past, the application of the design to the very different shapes of the truck provided a good challenge.
The blue water graphic, seen in the image to the left, is a wave pattern that has to align from the front of the hood down to the bumper, to the sides, and all the way to the back tail gate. The alignment of the graphics is essential when installing graphics on a vehicle like this, and the extra effort we put in to insure everything lined up well really paid off. Since we print the graphics in sections, and install it piece by piece, we were able to provide a finished product with virtually no visible seams.
For those of you that might be thinking about getting vehicle wraps for your business, the process is very simple. To get a quote, we take pictures and measurements of your vehicle. If you already have artwork and a design concept, we have templates for just about any vehicle make. We place the design on your vehicle’s template to create proofs for your review. If you need help with design, we can create something for you, as we did in this case. Design service includes first proofs based on your direction, and up to 3 rounds of design revisions. Once you approve the final design, we schedule an installation date and start production of final printed files, which is typically completed within 1-2 weeks.
