It's amazing what a sign can do to jazz up a space. In the image above, you can see wall wrap graphics we installed on the tunnel walls at Aviara Golf Course in Carlsbad, CA for the LPGA Kia Classic golf tournament. This tunnel is transformed from a basic concrete tunnel, to a marketing and advertising space, as well as a visual enhancement, which helps draw the eye down the tunnel. The goal here was to apply the tournament graphic stripe at 18” high, along the entire length of both sides of two different tunnels to welcome professional players, staff, and guests to the tournament.
But this wasn't the typical install. The challenge was the highly textured cement wall with holes in it, which wasn't a surface that was easy to adhere signage materials to. We found the solution by using a 3M test kit, and consulting with 3M technical staff, to test a 18" square patch of 3M Envision 480 film on the tunnel surface, to be sure it would perform well for the duration of the one week event. It tested beautifully.
The 3M 480 film worked so well, and Aviara Golf Course so pleased with the result, that they asked to keep them up longer!
In addition to the tunnel wrap graphics we also installed wall wraps on the entrance columns at the Park Hyatt Aviara Resort. In the image below, you can see the wall signs on the two main drive columns of the Aviara Golf Course clubhouse, welcoming players and staff and attenders to the LPGA. They look a lot like they were painted, but actually they're 4' x 6' solid rectangular prints without any seams. They're just simple, solid red signs with a gradient and the LPGA & Kia Classic logos. Simple, yet clean.
