If you are in the unfortunate situation of having had a large flood or water leak in your commercial building, office space, retail space, etc, and are looking for a top-rated commercial restoration company, we can help. Floods, hurricanes, and bad weather in general, are fairly common occurrences in the Winston-Salem, North Carolina area.   For business owners and commercial property owners, that means potential damages to the interior space of your store, offices, and other spaces. It also means the potential loss of valuables and products that you have on your shelves, and even irreplaceable objects like custom projects or even one-of-a-kind prototypes.  Perhaps the largest loss will come in the inability to conduct business until the building is safe, clean and beautified once again.  That could mean a lot of lost profit. We specialize in all phases of the restoration process, from water extraction to drying out to repair.  We can restore your place of business or commercial space back to the way it was before the water damage occurred. The first step, after making sure the flooding has stopped or the water source has been eliminated, is to extract all of the standing water if any exists.  We use professional high powered pumps and extraction machines to extract water out of a space fast. These pumps can move an incredible volume of water efficiently so we can get on with the drying porcess. The second step is to dry out the space that has been damaged by water. We use powerful fans, called air movers and dehumidifiers to move a lot of air around within a space. This helps to dry out the area, from the ceiling to the floor. Technically speaking, the air movement brings moisture out of materials and off of surfaces, allowing dehumidification systems to dry the air (which, in these environments, becomes very humid).  Industrial grade dehumidifiers pull moisture out of the air and pumps it out of the space to a suitable drainage system. The last step is to repair the space. Depending on the amount of water damage, repairs may  be minor or fairly extensive.  If the water didn't sit very long, we may be able to dry out the space without leaving the need to make any repairs. If sheetrock has come in contact with water, there is a chance that a professional drying process will save it (largely depends on how long it was wet).  Sheetrock, remaining wet for too long will be compromised and will need to be replaced. In sewage back-up situations, sheetrock must be replaced.  Most straight-forward replacement of sheetrock, applying fresh paint and trim can be a very low cost repair, especially compared to what can happen when water has contact for a long period of time with wood.  For example, If you have hardwood floors, or baseboards and flooring that is susceptible to water damage, you could be looking at a much more expensive restoration project.  In every water damage event, response time to extracting and starting a professional dry-out process is the key to keeping overall costs down. If you have any questions, or would like to have one of our professionals come out to your place of business or commercial building and give you a free assessment, give us a call. We would be more than happy to help in any way that we can.
