When the source of the loss on your property comes up from your sewer line, it is considered a category 3 loss. Step Two: Remove Damaged Materials and Contaminants -- It is very important that anything that has been touched by the soiled water be properly cleaned and decontaminated. Step Three: Place Equipment -- Equipment is placed to create a drying environment.  This may include thermal units, dehumidifiers, air movers and air scrubbers.
